To create awareness on cashless transactions, Digi Dhan mela will be conducted in Nizamabad on February 23. Union finance secretary Arjun Meg agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and elected representatives will participate in the meeting at Srirama Gardens, Armoor Road in the town. As part Digital India programme, Digi Dhan melas will be conducted in 100 towns in 100 days across the country. In Telangana state, the melas are being conducted in Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad and Mahbubnagar districts. Bankers, IT officials will explain the facilities of cashless transactions and cyber security Reviewing the arrangements here on Tuesday, district collector Yogita Rana said that people should utilise the Digi Dhan mela programme. She said that issuing of new Aadhaar cards, changes in Aadhaar cards, inoperative bank account issues will be settled in the mela.
