Nizamabad Residents Get Free Dustbins

The Nizamabad municipal corporation has intensified its cleanliness drive in the town. The corporation's health wing has started distributing dustbins free of cost to citizens. Officials had imported around 95,000 dustbins from Gujarat and these are being distributed in various municipal divisions.

Mayor Akula Sujatha formally launched the distribution of red and green coloured dustbins that are intended for segregated dry and wet waste. Each household in the town would be given two dustbins based on Aadhaar photo-copies.

Municipal health wing officer Sajid told DC that the dustbins the distribution would be taken up in a phased manner. The dustbins were ordered from a Gujarat based company and we received around 95,000 dustbins so far," he said.
